We often get asked what Share the Care is. Share the Care is essentially reciprocal care, but reciprocal care where parents can choose to stay or leave. This gives parents a gentle, gradual approach to leaving their child if they’re feeling a bit anxious about it. So for example, if you choose to stay on our Wednesday session, then you may want to leave on the Thursday to help your little one adjust to mum/dad not being around. And don’t worry - they have plenty of fun when you’re not around!
This week’s theme is BUGS. Butterflies, spiders, snails, and all sorts of other creepy crawlies. In keeping with this theme, the kids got to make collages out of beautiful dried leaves and crushed flowers. At lunchtime, the Early Childhood Educator read a book about all of the friendly creatures you might find in the garden, and of course we sang Itsy Bitsy Spider!
Several of the kids also chose to bake berry and white chocolate chip muffins. As good as the photos look, the taste and the smell was even better!
